Symbols

Symbols are how we communicate, I love symbols. I love numbers and what those symbols can mean, I love the alphabets and what those symbols can do to communicate on so many different perspectives at once, I love images and pictures and oooooohhhh do I love the internet for carrying it all.

I love using random decks like tarot or my sacred geometry cards to play with symbols and the stories they tell. Allowing yourself to read a story while you are thinking of someone else takes practice because every story is always told from OUR perspective even if we are using someone else's voice to tell the story.

This afternoon, I drew 4 cards, and the story it told me was my own to share with her, my niece. First card, my life lesson card of the deck, card 22, eternity's dance, reminded me of my walk and journey. Next the #50 "Octahedron," a solid shape for her to use. Next, #3 card "Tzolkin," a simple time system that allows shifting of tym according to whichever system is being used. And, fourth, #25, "DNA," the place where my niece and I share some common ground.

To worry if life will end isn't a fear unless you would be alone and that scares you, and the truth is, even if you are alone, you should never be afraid to be alone, even if you don't like or even hate being alone, it shouldn't scare you.  Eventually, you will decide you no longer can/will be alone and you will surround yourself with people you like, who do not hurt you. That is important, creating safe space for yourself when you have had nothing but chaos in your childhood. And, it's ok if you need to be all alone to have that safe space.

As you get older and can decide who can and may not be in your personal space, do realize it becomes your choices, and your mom's friends may not be your's, and her family might just surprisingly be there for you if you keep trying.

Do understand this, listen carefully to the craziest things your mom says, they will make perfect sense one day, I promise.

... precision of time ...

most interesting thing in this article ... as gravity is reduced, time moves faster!!!

do not take as a given what 'time' is, 'time' and its calculation is always changing, just as is our calendar.

Atomic Clocks Are Getting More Precise

nothing is set in stone ... and that which is, can be chisled out!

remember, if it exists it means it was created and there's something else that can be done beyond that which seems so unchangeable.

all things are relative ...

this is earth and its perspective to some of the other planets in our galaxy. in particular, mercury, venus and mars are part of the 'personal planets' which describe the energy of your most integrated parts of your psyche.

now, add the rest of the other planets of our solar system, and you begin to see the perspective of the self in relation to the collective society we are part of on this planet.

next we add the sun and you can see, that while the self has a small role in the solar system, our 'being' which is represented by the sun has a major impact and influence over our entire life, including the society and the planet on which we live.

now then, take another step back and look at it in perspective with some other stars in the galaxy ... while earth has completely disappeared, our being, represented by the sun, still has an impact on our galaxy. every thought, word or action you make has an impact on the entire universe.

i found these photos on rense.com where you can see how far out one must get where the sun and its energy is but just an echo in the universe.

learning about saturn ... no. 1 ... introduction.

we went to nasa's space camp this week ... awesome experience! i highly recommend if you get a chance to go to their camp and museum in mobile, alabama, you do it! otherwise, try to find out where their travelling school program is being presented near you and attend that ... it was so fantastic. we learned some new things and remembered some older things, but siobahn wanted to study about saturn and pluto first, so since i had already started on saturn, saturn is first.

saturn was the lord of everything ... until he wasn't. saturn was the last planet that the ancients could see in the sky without a telescope. in astronomy and astrology, saturn was the end of "our universe" or solar system. and then, uranus was discovered and everything had to be reevaluated.

and then after uranus, we know astronomers discovered neptune and pluto (and subsequently the kuiper belt of which pluto is a part of ... more on that with our discussion on pluto). so, saturn wasn't the end of our solar system after all. but saturn still represents our structure and limitations -- now with an expanded context. and, just as neptune is a part of every living person's consciousness and pluto will soon be, there is still a large segment of our population (especially of our power structure) who did not grow up just knowing that there was a planet named pluto.

TOTAL TANGENT: something else to look forward to ... there will be a time in about 100 years (but hopefully it will be irrelevant then), no one will remember a time when there was 9 planets as after this summer, if the world's astronomers can make their decision, we will either have 8 or 10 planets in our solar system. CLICK HERE FOR INFO ON THIS TANGENT!

remember, most people will NEVER know about life past what they perceive is reality -- there are not too many people who have the gumption to break an obvious glass ceiling or go beyond the status quo. the restrictions and limitations are the parameters of their life and they are perfectly happy within them. while the energies of uranus, neptune and beyond are just as powerful and potential in their lives, those energies will remain largely dormant or unconscious ... until, perhaps another lifetime. but, for those reading this, likely if you've gotten this far, restrictions and limitations (let alone someone else's idea of a glass ceiling) are things you live to obliterate and expand to fulfill your greatest dreams and potential.

understanding your structure is important if you want to remodel and expand. but sometimes growth and freedom comes simply by re-conceptualizing what you can do with your structure, or finding a new context for your structure is all that is needed to do what ever you want.

saturn is the 6th planet from the sun ... it was, perhaps at one time the 7th (until whatever exploded to create the asteroid belt between mars & jupiter) ... which would parallel the mythology story of kronus ... killing his own father, and then consuming his own children before they escaped out of his forehead ... literally blowing the roof off of it.

being the 6th planet from the sun, saturn really speaks to a group structure, especially that of the family and community, as that structure of the collective consciousness is reflective of the individual.

always my favorite thing about saturn ... the rings. did you know ... there are 14 rings ... when i was in school, we learned that there were 3 rings ... well, since then a probe to saturn has revealed that there are 14 distinct rings around saturn. 14, a number of individual (1) structure (4) surrounding the planet ... reinforces my previous concept of saturn's meaning.

next we will discuss more of the new astronomical things we've learned about saturn and how that helps us understand the symbols on the astrological chart. and, later, discussing saturn as he co-rules with his father, uranus, this age of aquarius the children are being born into ...

happy mother's day ...

now act like it ...

act like every child is your's, because they are ...

act like every person is a child, because they are ...

act like every one is an orphan, because they are ...

act like you are a mother, because you are ...

act like the earth, because you are ...

act like a woman, because you are ...

actions speak louder than words.

happy mother's day ...

now live it ...

everyday!

watching saturn ...

in children, the first planet to watch when considering school and social development is saturn. while jupiter is important as well because it relates to the expansion of the child into society, saturn is the 'wet blanket' so to speak on the child's natural expression. it is the 'sit in your seat', 'raise your hand to speak', the 'this is math time, not story time' ... in other words, the rules and regulations.

look for saturn's placement in the chart and watch for its transits over the cardinal points. if your child is having a saturn transit over the ascendent, nadir, descendent or midheaven, be conscious of it. for adults and children as well, these are major transitions in the structure and formation of their lives. being conscious and sensitive to the change in how a child allows the external world to structure their personality and the spirit is very important, and can lead to positive patterns and habits or, obviously, negative ones that they will battle their entire lives.

while not much is written for astrology and children's charts ... reading what is written for adults after the fact (e.g., after the patterns and habits have been established), can give you insight to what is happening with the child. BUT PLEASE, bear in mind, that saturn has been extremely demonized until recently and, because most 'adult' astrology books are written from hindsight, saturn's movement and energy gets blamed for all the bad, negative habits adults are battling to re-member their true selves. so, keep that in mind when reading anything on saturn.

i highly recommend Erin Sullivan's book, Saturn in Transit. one of the most balanced books on saturn, as well as giving pure archtype references for you to understand the energy without a lot of judgment of the purpose and form of the energy.

structure is good ... a well, established, growth based structure is best.

watch saturn, watch your child grow ... help them establish good patterns that will serve them their entire life.

... using ancient plans ...

the divine triangle ... a blueprint to complete the life you came to live.

this tool of pythagorus in particular i refer to most when it comes to thinking about the education of my daughter. pythagorus used (if not created) what has become known as the 'divine triangle' ... the blue print is a right angle triangle based on his famous theorem ... that systemmically sketchs the pattern of the development of the individual's life.

the divine triangle uses the cycle of 9, which has its connection to the mundane evolution of life on earth. each of the main phases in life contain 3 cycles of 9 years ... or 27 years. (which loosely correlates to the timing of the cycles of saturn, the planet representing structure of the mundane life.) the focus of this blueprint is "what am i here to learn?"

it was this 'blueprint' on which a life course was plotted and designed to maximize the effectiveness in training to focus on the 'life lesson' of this current incarnation.

the life lesson is derived from the birthdate of the individual. the life lesson is (day) + (month) + (year). for example, 29 february, 2006 would be: 29 + 2 + 2006 = (2+9) + (0+2) + (2+0+0+6) = 11+2+8 = 21 (reduced to 2+1=3)... thus the life lesson would be 21:3. both 21 and 3 are instrumental in determining the life lesson of the individual.

the original life plan is derived from the birthdate of the individual as well. the life plan is day+month+year. 29+2+2006=2037, and reduced 2+0+3+7=12, and reduced again, 1+2=3. original life plan is 2037:12:3 ... again, all three numbers are instrumental in determining the original life plan for the individual.

these two sets of numbers work together. as an analogy, the 'life lesson' would be the school within the university you would be attending, and the 'life plan' would be the major course of study within the school.

some ideas of some information that has been used for millenia to solve the mystery of the 'why' question we all ask ourselves at one point in our lives or another.
